Dear New York: (part 2 or 3 I can't remember)

I'll make this quick. I need a job. Not like, please God why won't you give me acting work, because I knew that was going to be the hard part. No, I need a job job. And here's the kicker: I'm with two employment agencies, and have sent my resume out like mad in the Craigsphere, and I've only gotten a few nibbles.

Now I know the job market is tough, but this is rivalling my true profession. And while submitting anything on Craigslist is a crapshoot, I do feel that I have the skills enough to at least get a few bites from CorpAm. I mean, I shower every day, I can conjugate verbs correctly, and I can sit in front of a computer for 8 hours and make it look like I care. I'm not sure why this isn't working.

New York you are very tricky. I've been watching a lot of Battlestar Galactica and I'm starting to fantasize that this is some sort of grand test of epic proportion. That if I can somehow figure out this restarting my life thing that all will be well. In the meantime, I'm very happy that you were so generous to Mary McDonnell early in her career. She really is one of the most underrated actresses I've seen.

Okay, I said I'm going to make this short. So I will. Just consider what I'm asking. No big deal. I just need at least 35 hours a week in the $18-20 an hour pay range.
