So I just found out that a job opportunity fell through for next Spring. It would have put me in a location that I would have been very content with, plus making someone else happy as well. And while this opportunity was never set in stone, I'm a little disappointed to discover that I'm not even in the running.
It wasn't meant to be. The good thing is that I'm glad to know this now and not later. It actually takes some stress off work that I'm supposed to do this summer. And I have plenty to do in the next six weeks with prepping for classes and the play I'm directing. For that I'm grateful: I'm finding focusing on future work this summer is more difficult than I expected. One less thing on my plate is a welcome relief.
pfeh...wasn't meant to be.
