Mormonic.

So I have a limited access to internet here so don't expect regular updates. That may change, but I'm kind of digging on the fact that I won't have easy access to the web while I'm hear. I'm in the middle of nowhere I might as well enjoy it.

So far I have very mixed feelings being here. To see Erin, Lanny, and Leslie again is wonderful. I sat out on the back porch drinking wine with them yesterday eating garden fresh tomatoes, shooting the shit, laughing, relaxing... it's all the things I love about being here.

I'm also watching the shows and I forget how much this Festival has to cater to a sheltered audience. They're not conservative per se, just sheltered. When an archaic reference about a women's duty to her husband gets said on stage and I see winking glances from men to their wives, I simply get sick to my stomach. It's not as bad as it sounds, but it's there and it's not pretty.

Ah well. It's inspiration to work deeper with what I've been given here. My parts are simply amazing and I have some very personal ideas on who these characters are. I'm excited to not just be a part these shows, but also contribute in a way that might begin to bend the expectations here. One blade of grass in the wind, but it's a start.
