I'm not quite sure what to say at this point. I'm thoroughly sucking it in rehearsal and loving every second of it. Rehearsing in Mormon Country is always difficult: there never is enough time, so I'm never really sure how much we get to potentially work scenes. All I know is that the stumble through of Mousetrap last night was most definitely a stumble. Boy was I bad. Like really bad. And I loved it. I'm using this show as an experiment in boldness. I want to see how far I push myself to make the biggest, boldest, baddest choices. So far it's working... it's bad, but it's working.
Other than that, I'm in allergy hell. After the first week of altitude adjustment I'm now battling high desert allergies. I've got a lovely dry cough, stuffy nose, and disoriented sense of self. I Neti Pot at least 5 times a day and the crap that's coming out of my nose is like a science fiction novel. So many colors and textures!
It's good here. I wish we could rehearse more as I get a little bored with only four hours a day with each play. That being said, it's very interesting. I really like the people here: there are a lot of USF veterans so it's pretty easy to get into the groove. There's already been a fabulous garden party with amazing food, great conversation, dogs, and all-around good cheer. We are going to take care of each other this Fall.
