Ah Portland, Oregon, how I love thee! The multi-colored houses fighting against the gloomy grey skies, the slightly unclean youth, coffee shops on every corner, health food stores offering reasonable prices, the waterfront, the grid system, Powell's, great food, the laid-back attitude that's so specific the Pacific Northwest... I am so glad to be home! Heading down this morning to Salem (in Hebrew, 'salem' means peace, I believe) to have lunch with my Mother, then back up to PDX for a baby shower. Ole!
