From the Las Vegas Review Journal:
"Antony's polar opposite, Caesar, is played by Michael Brusasco as a one-dimensional villain; a spoiled frat boy. The language of the play defeats Brusasco, and his performance never gets beyond a college actor's proficiency. What we get then are a bunch of scenes, some charming, some visually appealing, all in search of a thematic point."
It's wrong of course... it's a grad student's proficiency.

ReplyDelete"Better cast is Michael Brusasco as the boy-ruler Octavius Caesar, the ambitious great nephew of the slain Roman emperor, whose youth, Roman-sharp facial features and George Clooney-styled bangs serve him well in the role."
Michael-
ReplyDeleteI thought your performance was amazing, and I even found you to tell you so after Hamlet on Saturday. I couldn't believe that you had main roles in two of the three plays that we saw. I can't imagine having to memorize that many lines. Even in Hamlet, your role as the Player King was excellent. How you managed to pull that many costume changes in one play should be a record somewhere. So don't listen to that critic, my entire family thought you were awesome! Keep it up!
